There is a four-year break between Football World Cups. Starting from year 2025, FIFA held a new World Cup for Football Clubs around the world. They plan to hold it every four years. USA will become the host of this tournament. And, it will become a rehearsal for them since they are also the host of 2026 World Cup. The tournament will begin at June 14, 2025. It will end by July 13, 2025.
Clubs from Europe and South America are dominating in previous old format club world cups. But, they must be champions from their own confederations, Champions League and Copa Libertadores. By expanding the tournament for 32 teams, there are more teams that are not previous year champions that have a chance to lift the trophy.

Tie-Breaker Regulation
FIFA Club World Cup 2025 has similar format with FIFA World Cup 2022. There are 32 clubs that will be distributed into 8 groups where top 2 from each groups will advance to round of 16. Differences are in group tie-breaker regulation. It made major changes in group standing formulas in this spreadsheet. You won’t notice it since the layout is exactly similar with World Cup. But, if you typing World Cup scores, you will see that the groups standings are different. Tie-breaker regulation in this tournament is based on UEFA Euro Cup tie-breaker regulation where head-to-head matches are prioritized over group matches.

Teams are ranked by points obtained in all group matches: 3 points for Win, 1 point for Draw and 0 point for Lose.
If teams are having similar points, then their rankings will be decided by following rules below
- Points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question;
- Goal difference in the matches played between the teams in question;
- Number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question;
- If, after having applied criteria 1 to 3, teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1 to 3 are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams who are still level to determine their final rankings.[a] If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 5 to 8 will apply;
- Goal difference in all group matches;
- Number of goals scored in all group matches;
- Fair play points in all group matches: -1 point for yellow card, -3 points for second yellow card, -4 point for red card and -5 points for yellow card and direct red card;
- Drawing of lots.

Matches inside the spreadsheets are listed by match number. There are 48 group matches and 15 Knock Out matches (8 matches for Round of 16, 4 matches for quarterfinals 2 matches for semifinals and 1 final match. No 3rd place match).
You can try to type your prediction scores inside any score fields to see how groups standings works. Also, it should give you pictures on teams that will advance to the next round, especially after each group completing two matches where the third matches will decide the final outcome.
